So you know that whole thing about wanting to be "better" (more frequent) at this bloggie blog?  Well it turns out, like I already knew, I like living life, more than talking about or posting pictures of how I lived life. Especially if doing so means sitting down in front of a computer and typing.

So sorry. No more promises of more frequent posts. I'll write when I feel like it, and no sooner. (If that sounds like attitude, you can blame it on my two year old.)

I often find myself worried for the Young Women I work with, that they'll become so obsessed with making their life look fun and exciting, that the only motivation for doing anything will become to have a picture of them doing that something to share with the world. One more addition to the online version of themselves. And they will completely miss out on doing things just to do them, regardless of the presence of a camera.

But then I realize it's pretty much the whole developed world that lives lives so motivated. And I don't want to be part of it.

Don't worry, I'm not going to go live in a cave in the hills and disconnect from everyone around me. I hate spiders. There is legitimate value in recording thoughts, in storing pictures, and in sharing your experience. In short, blogs are not 100% bad. Millions find inspiration, motivation and just plain enjoyment daily from the postings of others. It is often a truly beautiful way to connect. I simply don't want to have anything online take away time from the real.

So here's my thought, my teeny experience I'd like to record this day:

Being a mom is the best thing I have ever done.

In this life of confusion and bad news and sugar and too much, it is almost healing to have something you are doing feel so exquisitely right. My little heart can barely contain the happy and love. I know that this is what I am supposed to be doing, and is the most important thing any human can ever do.

Now here's a few pictures:
